IMPERIAL VALLEY – Mark your calendars! The 12th Annual Fire Ball to benefit the Burn Institute will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011. Once again, this year’s Fire Ball will adopt a casual tone to match its venue – the Casa De Mañana Building at the Imperial Valley Expo (200 East 2nd St., Imperial, CA 92251). Western wear is encouraged!
The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. with a no-host reception and silent auction, followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m. This year’s Fire Ball will offer a full menu of barbecue favorites, line dancing with Country DJ and lots of casino action! Exciting live and silent auction items will also be featured. Designed to honor members of the fire service, local firefighters from throughout Imperial County will be presented with Exceptional Service awards.
Founded in 1972 and celebrating nearly 40 years of service to the community, the Burn Institute is the local nonprofit agency dedicated to reducing the number of burn injuries and deaths in San Diego, Imperial, Riverside and San Bernardino counties through burn survivor support services burn care research and treatment, and fire and burn prevention education.
