EL CENTRO, Calif. – July 15, 2011 – ECRMC’s new outpatient center being built at 4th and Main Streets in El Centro, is currently ahead of schedule and within budget.
Erickson Hall Construction Co., began construction of the 10,554 sq ft facility in April of this year, with the goal of completing the project by November 2011 (7 months). Erickson Hall Construction Co. out of Escondido recently completed the Dogwood Elementary School site in Heber.
The project is located in El Centro, west of Southern Pacific at Main and 4th streets. This larger and more centralized facility will provide services for adults and children, allow for greater access to buses and has plenty of parking spaces.
Project amenities include 19 exam rooms, 1 classroom, 4 triage rooms, optometrist office/exam rooms and 2 blood draw rooms.
The scope of work includes: 10,554 sq. ft. outpatient clinic with exterior metal panels and stone veneer. Site improvements include parking lot, curb and gutter, site wall, sidewalk and landscape. Offsite improvements include expansion of Main Street, underground water line and storm drain line, curb and gutter, sidewalk, street light and traffic signal.
“The project’s most challenging task is the coordination of offsite work and the fast track schedule,” said Eric Taylor Project Manager for Erickson-Hall Construction Co.
“It’s a tight timeline,” said David Green, CEO of ECRMC. “We are happy to say that we are ahead of schedule and within budget. This new facility will help us meet the needs of our community as a whole, offering additional services and more room in a central area.”
