US Border Patrol Arrests Convicted Sex Offender

El Centro, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro station arrested a convicted sex offender Monday morning.

 

On May 9, at approximately 6:50 a.m., agents working 22 miles west of Calexico, Calif., apprehended Juan Rodriguez-Estrada who had illegally crossed the U.S./Mexico International border.

 

While being processed, record checks revealed that Rodriguez had a prior felony conviction for Sexual Battery in 1996 out of Fresno, California and was previously removed from the United States.

 

Rodriguez is currently awaiting prosecution proceedings
