On February 25, at approximately 6:30 a.m., the Imperial County Sheriffs Office (ICSO) contacted the El Centro Border Patrol Sector communications concerning a male subject who placed a distress telephone call.  The subject stated that he was left behind while walking through the mountains.  The agents found him south of Highway 98 and west of Clark Road by using the GPS coordinates that ICSO provided.  The subject declined medical attention.  It was determined that the subject was a citizen of Mexico without any immigration documents allowing him to be present in the United States legally.  The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the El Centro Station for further processing.

On February 26, at approximately 6 a.m., El Centro agents apprehended a Mexican citizen 30 miles west of the Calexico Port of Entry after he illegally entered the United States.  The subject is an aggravated felon and has prior convictions for incest with a minor and cocaine possession.  He is currently being held at Imperial County Jail pending prosecution proceedings.
