Haley Gibson, Olivia Oceguera, Lily Seanez and Tori Smith all of El Centro, Ca and members of IV Flipz Allstars, all qualified to participate in the All American Cheer and Dance Pro Bowl Performance Tour and National Scholarship Invitational and to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii in January 2011. They represented the youth of this area in the 2011 AACD Pro Bowl Performance Tour. The girls attend both Corman and Wilson Junior High School, in El Centro. They were selected back in April of 2010 during a competition at the American Showcase in Anaheim, Ca. Several girls were tagged, observed and judged on the basis of cheer ability, academics, and personality. A total of about 140 girls will be performing.
High school participants will have the opportunity to compete individually in the All American Cheer and Dance National Scholarship Invitational for college scholarship money to the college of their choice. Younger participants will be competing for trophies and titles. In addition to competing in the National Scholarship Invitational, the participants will perform in the pre game and halftime show of the Pro Bowl. The girls will join other selected students from across the United States and Canada to travel to Honolulu, Hawaii for 7 days of educational sightseeing, competing, and performing.
The girls and their families have raised the major portion of their expense money.
