The aroma of BBQ filled the City of Holtville again as the Holtville Athletic conducted their 20th Annual Rib Cook-Off Extravaganza on Saturday January 29th. This year the club brought in bands for entertainment that played through the day, they also added a competition area for the youngsters, letting them test their skills with sling shots. They had the old fashioned Ice Cream machine going all day long as well as the Kettle Corn and 12,000 pounds of ribs that were consumed in a matter of hours. It was another great turn out to support the young athletes of Holtville.
