The Calexico Business Improvement District had a successful Halloween Carnival last Sunday surpassing all expectations.
People from Calexico, Mexicali, and the Imperial Valley came to Downtown Calexico for the second annual Halloween Carnival were games, food, and other fun activities for all the family were provided. An estimated crowd of 2,000 attended the Halloween carnival last Sunday not only to celebrate Halloween but also to bring people to shop in Downtown Calexico. The next event for Downtown Calexico will be in December at the traditional 20/30 Calexico Christmas Parade.
The parade will have a new route this year as they will go through Imperial Ave. This is an attempt by the Business Improvement District to support Imperial Ave. since its part of the jurisdiction of the BID.
