Calexico CBP Officers Prevent More Than $850,000 Worth of Cocaine From Entering U.S.

Calexico, Calif. – U. S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Calexico West Port of Entry prevented more than 85 pounds of cocaine with an estimated value of more than $853,000 from entering the United States in two separate occasions Wednesday.

Calexico Holloween Carnival

The Calexico Business Improvement District had a successful Halloween Carnival last Sunday surpassing all expectations.

People from Calexico, Mexicali, and the Imperial Valley came to Downtown Calexico for the second annual Halloween Carnival were games, food, and other fun activities for all the family were provided. An estimated crowd of 2,000 attended the Halloween carnival last Sunday not only to celebrate Halloween but also to bring people to shop in Downtown Calexico. The next event for Downtown Calexico will be in December at the traditional 20/30 Calexico Christmas Parade.
