Brawley Teachers Welcomed Back By Chamber
By Chris Furguson On August 19, 2010, the Brawley Chamber of Commerce welcomed new and returning teachers from both the elementary and high schools with lunch and a raffle at their annual “Welcome Back Teachers” Luncheon. Ouch! The Bed Bugs Are Biting In Imperial Valley
By Luke Phillips A nation-wide epidemic of Bed Bugs, a small insect that feeds off the blood of humans as they sleep, has made it's way to the Imperial Valley. Paul Johnson, an entomologist with the Imperial County Health Department, says that the Bed Bug problem has become fairly widespread in El Centro and Brawley with infestations being reported in every kind of residential dwelling, from hotels to houses and apartments. Calexico Schools Open Amidst Earthquake Refitting And Welcome
By Mario Conde Over 2,000 students returned to classes this week in Calexico and the Calexico Chamber of Commerce hosted the traditional event Friday, Aug. 20th to welcome back teachers.
