The Office of Emergency Services recommends that people of the Imperial Valley to be prepared for aftershocks. They also recommend if at all possible to stay home and off the roads. After the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that his Sunday afternoon there has been hundreds of aftershocks and has triggered other earthquakes that are moving into the United States side of the Mexican Border to the east of the city of El Centro. El Centro and Calexico were hit hard. So far there have been no reports of fatalities but there has been one person from El Centro that has been hospitalized and is in critical condition.
