The Women of Virtue Empowerment Network (W.O.V.E.N.) will be kicking off it’s grand opening with an Open House event on Monday, March 22nd from 6-8 p.m. WOVEN is a non-profit organization created as a support center for women of the Imperial Valley.
Founding directors are Betty Predmore and Sara Hilfiker of Holtville, and Stacie Chandler and Debbie Cameron of Brawley.
WOVEN will be offering support groups led by trained facilitators on such topics as marriage/relationships, parenting, grief, menopause, health and nutrition, conflict resolution, and self-empowerment.
There will also be support groups for women’s AA, cancer, and single mothers. In addition to the scheduled group sessions, the WOVEN office will be open for walk-in assistance Monday through Friday from 10:00-noon along with Monday and Thursday afternoons from 1-3 p.m.
WOVEN services are open to all women free of charge.
