An early morning pursuit on February 27 with an allegedstolen vehicle ended in a rollover for the suspect.
Laura Valenzuela, 27 of Brawley, was found in the alleged stolen vehicle after police responded.
When approached by officers, Valenzuela sped south on old Highway 111 at over 100 miles per hour.
Upon attempting a left turn on Harris Road, Valenzuela’s vehicle, a brown 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, rolled over, ending the pursuit.
Miss Valenzuela suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Pioneers Memorial Hospital for treatment before being booked into the Imperial County Jail on charges of evading police and possession of a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was believed to have been stolen at the Main Street’s 7-11 on the day before, according to police records.
