* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR… EXTREME NORTHEASTERN IMPERIAL COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA… NORTHEASTERN YUMA COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ARIZONA… EASTERN RIVERSIDE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA… LA PAZ COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL ARIZONA…

* UNTIL 530 PM MST/430 PM PST/

* AT 328 PM PST… NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS DETECTED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 15 MILES NORTH OF BLYTHE TO RIPLEY TO 27 MILES SOUTHWEST OF RIPLEY… OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 25 MILES SOUTH OF VIDAL JUNCTION TO 38 MILES NORTH OF MARTINEZ LAKE TO 29 MILES NORTHWEST OF MARTINEZ LAKE… AND MOVING EAST AT 70 MPH.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO QUARTZSITE… BOUSE… BRENDA… VICKSBURG… VICKSBURG JUNCTION… HARCUVAR… SALOME AND WENDEN

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. IF A TORNADO IS SPOTTED… ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A STURDY STRUCTURE… SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 PM MST THURSDAY EVENING/900 PM PST THURSDAY EVENING/ FOR SOUTHWESTERN ARIZONA AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
