Full Closures Scheduled for Best Road in Brawley
Brawley – A portion of Best Road south of Shank Road in Brawley will be closed for about a month starting Monday morning at 8.
On Monday and Tuesday, the closure will be between Shank Road and Brawley Beef Way. The closure will extend to just south of Brawley Beef Way from Wednesday at 4 p.m. through the end of the month.

The closures will allow highway construction crews to construct a new intersection at Best Road as part of the ongoing construction on the SR-78/SR-111 Brawley Bypass Project.
The initial detour route for motorists northbound on Best Road will be to turn left on Brawley Beef Way, right on Slider Road, right on Shank Road and left back onto Best Road. Southbound motorists will use the same route in the opposite direction.
Beginning Wednesday afternoon, motorists will be detoured via Main Street rather than Brawley Beef Way.
Workers will place detour signs to assist motorists around the closures.
