New Year New Laws
THE NEW YEAR BRINGS NEW LAWS SACRAMENTO, Calif. –January not only rings in a new year, but also new laws for 2010. The California Highway Patrol reminds drivers to be familiar with these new traffic laws passed by the Legislature and signed by the Governor. Earthquakes Blitz through Imperial Valley By Chris Furguson On December 30, 2009, at around 10:50 AM, at least four earthquakes rocked the Imperial Valley in less than 20 minutes. The first quake began at 10:48 am and registered 5.8 on the magnitude scale. That quake’s epicenter was several miles south east of Mexicali. Border Patrol Seizes More than $850,000 of Methamphetamine

Miss Betty’s Preschool Celebrates Christmas
By Betty Predmore The students at Miss Betty's Preschool had a great time in December preparing for the Christmas holiday. They made gingerbread cookies from scratch and enjoyed eating them during lunch time. They had a wonderful time during arts & crafts as they created lovely handprint wreaths, gingerbread men, candy canes, Christmas stockings, and angels, just to name a few. Their class project for the month was a beautiful Christmas tree made with the handprints of all the children, then decorated with glitter and sparkles.
