Baja California Governor Jose Guadalupe Osuna Millan made a trip to China in an attempt to consolidate strategic plans to bring investment to the State.
The Governor began his trip on November 16 and met with the Mexican Ambassador in Beijing, Jorge Eugenio Guajardo Gonzalez. Governor Osuna thanked the ambassador for his support to market Baja California in China. In the meeting, it was notice how Baja California is the leader in this type of commercial trips by bringing businesspeople from all the five municipalities of the State.
Governor Osuna said that the main goal of this trip is to strengthen legislative and commercial relations of both entities that create major investment and more jobs to the people of Baja California. He asked the ambassador to promote Baja California products such as wine, and other regional food products.
Among the agreements reached at the trip is that starting March 2010, there will be direct flights from Tijuana to Shanghai. The Governor said that these flights will benefit the cultural, commercial, and tourism exchange between the two countries.
Also, it was also announced that Baja California could have in the near future an automobile manufacturing plant that will have Chinese investment. The Governor s
